The Qiantang River now features a "tidal tree" landscape

2025-09-09

On September 7, 2025, in Haining City, Zhejiang Province, the natural landscape of "tidal trees" appeared at the mouth of the Qiantang River after the tide receded. This is a sedimentary landform formed by the rising and falling of the river water due to the influence of tides. From an aerial view, the alternating depths of the tidal channels resemble towering trees, with various shapes and lifelike features, resembling natural paintings embedded in the earth.
