The 33rd Macau International Fireworks Display Competition, hosted by the Macau SAR Government Tourism Office, kicked off on the evening of the 6th, attracting many citizens and tourists to watch. The participating team from Australia made their debut that evening, with the theme of "Southern Continent", vividly presenting Australia's magnificent landscape and diverse culture through fireworks. Subsequently, the participating team from South Africa intertwined the natural beauty of Africa in the sky with the theme of "Serengeti Grassland". A total of 10 countries' fireworks companies participated in this event, presenting magnificent fireworks performances on September 6th, 13th, 20th, as well as October 1st and 6th. The Macao SAR Government Tourism Bureau hopes to drive foot traffic and promote community economy through this night time brand event in Macau. During the event, the Tourism Bureau launched a fireworks carnival at the Macau Science Museum seawall, which is also one of the six best fireworks viewing spots recommended by the Tourism Bureau. The event will be held on the evenings of 5 fireworks display days, where audiences can enjoy the fireworks, taste delicious food, participate in booth games, and enjoy stage performances, fully experiencing the diverse cultural charm of Macau. This year's competition will continue to feature photography and student painting competitions, and for the first time, an AI intelligent painting competition will be held, allowing photography enthusiasts, students, and AI creation enthusiasts to unleash their inspiration and creativity, and capture wonderful moments through their works. Macau is currently in typhoon season, and the Tourism Bureau has formulated an emergency plan to closely monitor the special weather forecast of the Meteorological Bureau through a cross departmental mechanism and make timely assessments. If there are any adjustments to the activity schedule, they will be announced to the public as soon as possible. (New Society)
