The latest data released by the Ministry of Commerce shows that China's service trade steadily increased in the first seven months of this year, with a total import and export volume of 4578.16 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.2%. The export of travel services grew the fastest, with imports and exports of travel services reaching 1259.46 billion yuan in the first seven months, an increase of 10.4%. Among them, exports increased by 62.9% and imports increased by 3.9%. In the first seven months, China's service exports reached 1998.3 billion yuan, an increase of 15.3%; Service imports amounted to 2579.86 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3%. The trade deficit in services was 581.56 billion yuan, a decrease of 183.62 billion yuan from the same period last year. Meanwhile, knowledge intensive service trade continues to grow. In the first seven months, the import and export of knowledge intensive services reached 1.7756 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.8%. Among them, the import and export of other commercial services, telecommunications, computers, and information services amounted to 750.97 billion yuan and 626.8 billion yuan, with growth rates of 3.4% and 12.6%, respectively.
