On September 1st, 2025, the Guangdong Province Chief Quality Officer Experience Exchange Event and the "Quality Month" Launch Ceremony were held in Guangzhou. Quality is the way to revitalize the country and the strategy to build a strong nation. According to on-site reports, Guangdong is the first province in China to implement the strategy of building a strong quality province. The provincial party committee and government have issued the "Outline for the Construction of a Strong Quality Province in Guangdong Province", taking the lead in carrying out the action of building strong quality enterprises, strong chains, and strong counties. Guangdong has also established a 500 million yuan provincial quality improvement and development fund, and has been awarded the highest level of A-level in the provincial government's quality work assessment 10 times. Implementing the Chief Quality Officer system for enterprises and promoting the transformation of products from "manufacturing" to "quality manufacturing" is a powerful support for enhancing the quality competitiveness of enterprises and industries, and accelerating the construction of a strong quality province. In recent years, the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau, together with relevant departments of the province, has deepened the promotion of the Chief Quality Officer system for enterprises. Currently, more than 44000 enterprises in the province have established the Chief Quality Officer system, achieving full coverage of enterprises above designated size. A number of globally renowned enterprises have their Chairman or General Manager personally serving as the Chief Quality Officer, effectively playing the leading role of the "quality first person" in enterprises, effectively enhancing the quality and brand development capabilities of enterprises, and helping to improve the quality of the entire industry chain.
