On September 2, 2025, the foundation of the bridge deck structure of the Jinsha River Extra Large Bridge in Xinshi, located at the junction of Pingshan County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province and Suijiang County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, was successfully completed. The Jinsha River Grand Bridge in Xinshi has a total length of 1867 meters and a main span of 680 meters. It is the largest steel truss cable-stayed bridge under construction of the same type in Sichuan. The Jinsha River Grand Bridge in Xinshi is an important control project of the Yiban Expressway, and an important hub connecting Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. It has significant implications for promoting economic development and cultural exchanges between the two provinces. (New Society)
