Maotai that has been awarded the "lottery"

When it comes to Baijiu, I believe that the first thing that many drinkers think of is Kweichow Moutai. Indeed, because of its good quality and reputation, Moutai Baijiu has always been favored by many people and has become the "sweet cake" in the liquor market. Many people hope to buy products that are relatively cheap, so they often search for purchasing channels from multiple sources. Little did they know, this also gave some criminals an opportunity to exploit. They took advantage of the buyers' pursuit of cheap products and carefully set up character designs and traps, only to lure them into a trap and defraud money. Well, Wu from Nantong, Jiangsu is well versed in this and has been committing fraud one after another. According to recent media reports, Wu was sentenced to five months of detention and seven months of probation for defrauding others of money by forging Maotai liquor's qualification for winning the lottery. During the probation period, Wu did not repent and resorted to the same trick again. He used the P image software to forge a screenshot of the qualification sign for purchasing Maotai liquor at a low price and posted it on a certain social media platform, accompanied by the tempting words "low-priced transfer". In mid October 2024, Cao saw the information posted by Wu on social media and was quickly attracted, and privately messaged Wu to inquire about the details. After a conversation, Cao was deceived by Wu's sweet words and agreed to purchase at a price of 2000 yuan per bottle, and quickly transferred the money to Wu. Immediately afterwards, Wu sent a screenshot of the order shipment, which gradually weakened Cao's guard. In the following three months, Wu falsely claimed to be able to contact other successful bidders, encouraging Cao to invest in bulk purchases and then resell at a high price to earn the price difference. Under Wu's interlocking language and continuous psychological attacks, Cao completely fell into a trap and was defrauded of more than 140000 yuan in total. In addition to Cao, Lin and Li were also deceived. In February 2025, Wu used the same method to defraud them of 4000 yuan. After trial, the court sentenced Wu to fixed-term imprisonment and a fine for fraud, and together with the previous sentence, decided to execute a fixed-term imprisonment of four years and three months and a fine of 37000 yuan. Wu really doesn't want to repent. If he can cherish the opportunity and actively participate in educational reform, the original sentence will no longer be executed after the probation period expires. Unfortunately, he acted recklessly and once again embarked on the path of illegal and criminal activities. The result could only be a combination of old and new accounts, punished for multiple crimes, and ultimately imprisoned. It was entirely his own fault and he could not blame anyone else. Moreover, Wu's modus operandi is not at all sophisticated, but Cao and others have been deceived one after another, which is also due to their greed for cheap money. They have lost their vigilance in the face of so-called low-priced transfers and other excuses. If we can think twice, we may not be deceived, after all, only by choosing legitimate channels and leaving purchase vouchers can we truly have protection. Remember: pies never fall from the sky for no reason, be careful of potential traps behind them. (New Society)
