Vividly interpreting the triple attributes of the judiciary in the new era

□ Writing about fairness and justice □ Expert comments on the handling of rental cases involving formaldehyde exceeding standards by the People's Court, demonstrating the professional judicial ability of judges and reflecting the judicial care and protection for people's livelihoods. The trial of this case reflects the accuracy of legal application. In the face of difficulties such as determining formaldehyde testing standards and assigning burden of proof in lease disputes, the people's court has creatively constructed a judgment logic of "priority of the right to health" by combining the "applicability of leased property" clause in the Civil Code with environmental safety standards. For example, in terms of evidence acceptance, the court scientifically determines the effectiveness of the testing report entrusted by the parties themselves through the review of institutional qualifications, testing procedures, and other factors. This not only avoids the dilemma of rights protection caused by mechanical justice, but also adheres to the principle of evidence judgment, demonstrating the respect of the judiciary for professional knowledge and the flexible application of legal provisions. The trial of this case directly addresses the difficulties in safeguarding people's rights in the field of livelihood, safeguarding fairness and justice. Tenants often find themselves in a disadvantaged position in terms of information and bargaining power in the leasing relationship. Excessive formaldehyde not only violates their right to health, but may also result in a lack of legal recourse due to the tenant's excuses. The people's court, by ruling that the defaulting party shall bear the liability for breach of contract, not only makes the violator pay the price, but also provides a channel for vulnerable parties to seek remedies and correct the imbalanced interest pattern. This leap from formal equality to substantive justice demonstrates the responsibility of the judiciary in safeguarding the bottom line of people's livelihood. The verdict of this case has set clear boundaries for social behavior and has a guiding role in social values. Firstly, the lessor must fulfill the obligation of ensuring safe living and prioritize the right to health over profit; Secondly, citizens should enhance their awareness of their rights and promptly say 'no' to behaviors that harm their own health; Thirdly, market entities must adhere to the principle of integrity, and any mentality of taking chances is denied by law. The value of this case lies in guiding the rental market to transition from "contract freedom" to "responsibility first", and promoting the formation of a social consensus of "life first, integrity-based". The handling of rental cases involving houses with excessive formaldehyde levels is a vivid example of the upgrading of judicial functions from "dispute resolution" to "rule construction", vividly interpreting the triple attributes of the new era of justice: solving livelihood problems with professional wisdom, safeguarding rights and remedies with fair judgments, and shaping social norms with value guidance, so as to truly integrate the spirit of the rule of law into all aspects of people's lives.
