Member states can achieve their own development through dialogue and cooperation. The 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit will be held in Tianjin, which will be the largest summit since the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Uzbekistan is a founding member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the constructive cooperation between Uzbekistan and China has become an important factor in promoting the stable development of the organization. Based on a strong foundation of cooperation, the two countries have established an efficient dialogue and cooperation mechanism covering multiple fields such as regional security, economic and trade cooperation, and cultural exchanges within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The trend of fragmentation in today's world is intensifying, and the international order is being impacted. In this context, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has provided effective solutions to address challenges such as imbalanced globalization, food and energy security, and helped to form a fair and inclusive multipolar international order. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is becoming an important platform for countries in the global South to enhance strategic autonomy and achieve sustainable development. The "SCO+" model provides opportunities for more developing countries, and all parties are continuously launching innovative cooperation plans in areas such as green economy, digitization, technology, and education through collaborative cooperation. As an important member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, China has always adhered to equal treatment, mutual respect, and win-win cooperation. A series of concepts and initiatives put forward have been actively implemented within the framework of the SCO. Since assuming the rotating presidency from 2024 to 2025, China has promoted cooperation in various fields, improved the cooperation mechanism between observer states and dialogue partners, and helped the Shanghai Cooperation Organization expand its influence and enhance its authority under the slogan of "Promoting the Shanghai Spirit: The Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Action". With professional competence and rich experience, China promotes organizations to continuously achieve new leapfrog development, effectively promotes the improvement of organizational structure, enhances practical efficiency, and advances the process of regional integration. China closely integrates ideology with practice and has successfully held forums such as the SCO Green Development Forum and the 42nd meeting of the SCO Regional Counter Terrorism Committee Council. The first international road transportation system route from China SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone to Uzbekistan has been officially opened, providing assistance for regional logistics upgrading, job creation, and tax revenue increase. The 2025 SCO Youth Cultural Exchange Camp, supported by China, brings together youth representatives from all over the world. Chinese universities are conducting joint research in fields such as artificial intelligence and ecology with universities in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, building a sustainable intellectual platform. Uzbekistan continues to promote actions such as connectivity, sustainable development, youth exchanges, and joint scientific research within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The trade volume between Uzbekistan and China has achieved rapid growth, and China is Uzbekistan's largest trading partner and an important source of investment. The China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan railway project is steadily advancing, and upon completion, it will significantly enhance the level of logistics connectivity among SCO countries and strengthen regional economic integration. The implementation of cross regional cooperation, trade expansion, infrastructure and technology cooperation projects has effectively consolidated the cooperation foundation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and injected strong impetus into sustainable development. My career is closely linked to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. I have served as the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and experienced the development and evolution of the organization firsthand. At that time, despite facing multiple challenges such as geopolitical tensions, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization maintained the stability of its mechanism and expanded cooperation from traditional security and economic fields to new areas such as digital transformation, green development, and innovation. I am currently serving as the Chairman of the Central Asia Artificial Intelligence Association and have participated in activities such as the China SCO Digital Technology Cooperation and Development Forum and the SCO Think Tank High end Forum. Our association maintains close cooperation with Chinese institutions, signs a memorandum of cooperation with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and will jointly cultivate artificial intelligence legal professionals and conduct related research with Chinese universities. Looking ahead to the future, the development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization should further focus on regional economic integration, promote trade facilitation and digitization, advance green energy and climate cooperation among countries, and actively implement artificial intelligence, network security, and technology park construction. I believe that through these measures, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will continue to enhance its global influence and contribute more solutions to international cooperation. (New Society)
