Integrating advantageous resources in the fields of equipment manufacturing, new energy, new materials, digital economy, etc., strengthening innovation drive, promoting the extension of the industrial chain to the high-end, upgrading the supply chain to resilience, and climbing the value chain to both ends of the "smile curve", cultivating and strengthening advanced manufacturing clusters in Northeast China is not only a key lever for implementing national strategies, but also an important breakthrough for solving the difficulties of Northeast economic transformation and building a new development pattern. Industrial cluster refers to the phenomenon of competitive enterprises within a specific industry, as well as related enterprises, suppliers, and institutions that interact with these enterprises, gathering in a specific region. It is a typical industrial organizational form that appears in the process of industrialization. As an important component of the modern industrial system, advanced manufacturing clusters have become a key force in promoting high-quality regional economic development due to their high industrial agglomeration effects, strong innovation capabilities, and sustained development potential. They are also an important carrier for enhancing competitiveness and innovation in industries and regions. As an important old industrial base in China, the Northeast region has a profound industrial heritage and abundant resource reserves. For Northeast China, cultivating and strengthening advanced manufacturing clusters is not only an important support for achieving new breakthroughs in the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China in the new era, but also a key focus for developing new quality productivity according to local conditions. Therefore, the construction of advanced manufacturing clusters is not a "ordinary dish" that can be freely selected on a self-service menu, but a "characteristic signature dish" that must be done well. In the face of new challenges in global economic restructuring and industrial upgrading, the Northeast region must firmly grasp the strategic lever of building advanced manufacturing clusters, explore new growth drivers and development paths, and promote the development of manufacturing towards high-end, intelligent, and green directions. Overall, the core competitiveness of advanced manufacturing clusters in Northeast China is mainly reflected in the technological accumulation and industrial chain supporting capabilities of traditional industries, which have shown many positive changes in recent years. One is the acceleration of industrial chain extension, such as the expansion of Shenyang's equipment manufacturing industry cluster from complete machines to core components, and the extension of Dalian's biopharmaceutical industry cluster from raw materials to innovative drug research and development; The second is to strengthen the construction of innovation platforms, such as the Changchun International Automobile City New Energy Vehicle Industrial Park, which is the first "specialized, refined, unique and new" enterprise incubation and cultivation base in Changchun. Firstly, strengthen innovation leadership.
