Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice to organize the collection of typical application scenarios of artificial intelligence for small and medium-sized enterprises in 2025. The purpose of this solicitation work is to thoroughly implement the decision-making arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on supporting the innovative development of small and medium-sized enterprises, implement the requirements of the "Special Action Plan for Digital Empowerment of Small and Medium sized Enterprises (2025-2027)", focus on key directions such as empowering small and medium-sized enterprises with innovative product services and optimizing business processes through artificial intelligence, and explore and excavate a number of forward-looking, innovative, and demonstrative typical application scenarios, providing practical guidance and reference for the use of artificial intelligence to achieve innovative development for the vast number of small and medium-sized enterprises. The collection of typical application scenarios of artificial intelligence for small and medium-sized enterprises in 2025 mainly focuses on three directions. Firstly, artificial intelligence empowers small and medium-sized enterprises to "innovate product services". The scenario content should highlight the use of artificial intelligence technology by small and medium-sized enterprises to achieve breakthrough innovation, research and develop forward-looking new products and services, including intelligent products and services; Secondly, artificial intelligence empowers small and medium-sized enterprises to "optimize business processes". The scenario content should reflect the application of artificial intelligence technology by small and medium-sized enterprises to carry out digital transformation in research and development design, production control, quality inspection, equipment maintenance, procurement and supply, marketing and after-sales, business management and other links or scenarios, promoting significant optimization of business processes or significant improvement of business capabilities, including intelligent research and development design, intelligent production and operation and maintenance, and intelligent management; The third is the new path and model of empowering small and medium-sized enterprises with other artificial intelligence for innovative development. The notice specifies that the applicant should be a small and medium-sized enterprise registered within the territory of the People's Republic of China with independent legal personality. The applicant must submit an online application through the "High Quality SME Gradient Cultivation Platform" before August 29, 2025, and the submission scenario must meet the requirements of the solicitation direction. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organize experts to review the recommended scenarios, compile and organize the selected scenarios, and use platforms such as conferences to publish and promote them, fully leveraging their typical demonstration and value leading role, and creating a favorable environment for artificial intelligence to empower innovation and development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
