On August 23, 2025, the Danjiang Xiaosanxia Grand Bridge on the Mianxi Expressway, constructed by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully closed, and the entire Mianxi Expressway project from Xichuan to the border between Henan and Hubei provinces was completed. The Xichuan to Henan Hubei border section of the Mianxi Expressway project starts from Xichuan, Henan in the north, crosses Danjiang in the south, and connects with the Hubei Shixi Expressway in the south. The total length is 24.838 kilometers, with a designed speed of 100 kilometers per hour, and is constructed using a two-way four lane standard. The Danjiang Xiaosanxia Grand Bridge is a key control project of the project, with a total length of 919 meters and a main span of 536 meters. It is the largest cross canyon separated hybrid beam cable-stayed bridge in China and currently the largest span cable-stayed bridge in Henan Province. (New Society)
