On the 21st, the 11th World Cultural Development Forum, jointly hosted by the Philosophy Department and Confucius Institute of the Western Cape University in South Africa, the Higher Humanities Research Institute and the Philosophy School of Hubei University, was held in Cape Town, South Africa. The theme of this forum is "Global Equity and Justice and Permanent Peace for Mankind". More than 30 scholars from China, South Africa, the United States and other countries have discussed topics such as global ecological justice, global equity, orderly society and civilization order, and cultural diversity. In his opening speech, the head of the Department of Philosophy at the Western Cape University in South Africa, Richard Buemi Anthony Oyowe, pointed out that the forum provides a platform for scholars from different cultural backgrounds to engage in dialogue and enhance understanding. The African philosophical community attaches great importance to cultural issues, and the diversity of tribal cultures and cultural reflections in the post colonial era have profoundly influenced the development of African philosophy, providing methodological guidance for current social problems. We look forward to exchanging ideas and learning from cultural scholars from different countries and regions. Jiang Chang, a specially appointed professor of the "Changjiang Scholars" program at the Chinese Ministry of Education and a professor at the Department of Political Science at Central China Normal University, stated that the theme of this forum, "Global Equity, Justice, and Permanent Peace for Mankind," is timely. Currently, the world is facing multiple challenges such as geopolitical crises, climate change challenges, and the rise of protectionism. Scholars from various countries should strengthen exchanges and mutual learning, conduct research and collaborative research from different disciplines, and seek constructive solutions.
