The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers recently released data that in the first seven months of this year, China's automobile production was 18.235 million units, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%; The sales volume was 18.269 million units, a year-on-year increase of 12%; The total export of vehicles was 3.68 million, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%. Since the beginning of this year, the overall operation of China's automobile market has been stable, with impressive export performance. Xu Haidong, Deputy Secretary General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, believes that maintaining a 12% growth in automobile sales has played an important role in driving domestic demand and promoting consumption. The effect of the trade in policy continues to be evident, and positive progress has been made in the comprehensive rectification of 'internal competition' in the industry. New car models continue to be launched, helping the car market run smoothly and achieve year-on-year growth. ”Chen Shihua, Deputy Secretary General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said. It is worth mentioning that the export volume of new energy vehicles has increased significantly. In the first seven months, the export of new energy vehicles reached 1.308 million units, a year-on-year increase of 84.6%, becoming a highlight of foreign trade growth. In July, the export volume of new energy vehicles accounted for 39.1% of the total automobile exports, an increase of 4.5 percentage points compared to the previous month, reaching a historical high and effectively driving the stable growth of automobile exports. ”Wu Songquan, Senior Chief Expert of China Automotive Technology Research Center, stated that new energy vehicles have become the main driving force for the growth of automobile exports, and this trend has been particularly prominent this year. In terms of export pattern, it presents the characteristics of "leading by top enterprises and follow-up by emerging enterprises". Cui Dongshu, Secretary General of the Passenger Car Market Information Joint Branch of the China Automobile Dealers Association, stated that brands such as BYD, Geely, Chery, and Changan have shown strong performance, and some emerging domestic brands have begun to emerge in overseas markets, indicating that the overall competitiveness of Chinese new energy brands is improving. From the perspective of export product structure, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles have become the main incremental point of exports. In the first seven months of this year, China exported 833000 pure electric vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 50.2%; During the same period, 475000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle models were exported, a year-on-year increase of 210%. Wu Songquan stated that China relies on its first mover advantage in new energy vehicles to contribute more solutions and choices to global green and low-carbon development, and also drives the Chinese automotive industry to better enter the international market. From the perspective of export mode, the proportion of CKD (fully assembled components) is gradually increasing. Cui Dongshu believes that shifting from whole vehicle exports to CKD exports and localized overseas production is the future trend, which will help companies better enhance their localization service capabilities. Great Wall Motors, BYD and other companies have shown excellent performance in overseas system construction. From the perspective of export destinations, European countries such as Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Spain, ASEAN countries such as the Philippines, and Latin American countries such as Mexico and Brazil have become the main destinations for new energy vehicle exports. Wu Songquan believes that exports, especially to the EU region, achieved rapid growth in June despite some disruptive factors. Chinese automobile companies are gradually gaining the trust of overseas consumers through diversified technological routes, intelligent functional configurations, excellent cost-effectiveness, and flexible sales and service strategies, providing richer and more diverse solutions for green and low-carbon travel in other overseas countries and regions. In Cui Dongshu's view, with the emergence of China's scale advantage and market expansion trend in new energy vehicles, more and more Chinese made new energy brand products are going abroad, and their recognition overseas continues to increase. For the car market in the second half of the year, Chen Shihua believes that clear national policies will help stabilize consumer confidence, continuously boost automobile consumption, and ensure the smooth operation of the industry in the second half of the year. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers predicts that the total annual sales of automobiles will reach 32.9 million units, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%. Among them, the sales of new energy vehicles are expected to reach 16 million units. (New Society)
