The Preparatory Office for the Macao Division of the 12th National Paralympic Games (hereinafter referred to as the "Paralympic Games") and the 9th Special Olympics (hereinafter referred to as the "Special Olympics") held badminton operation tests for the Paralympic Games and the Special Olympics on August 16th and 17th, and the overall results met the expected goals. The Paralympic Games and the Special Olympics will be held in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau from December 8th to 15th, with the Macau region hosting the Paralympic Games and the Special Olympics badminton events. The preparatory office has invited technical representatives from the China Disabled Persons' Federation to come to Australia for guidance. As an important exercise before the official competitions of the Paralympic Games and the Special Olympics, this project's operation and testing will focus on testing the organization and operation of the event, venue facilities, logistics support, volunteer services, and optimizing the accessibility facilities of the venue according to the standards of the official competitions. During the testing period, athletes' injuries and emergency situations were simulated separately. Staff and volunteers from each participating unit fulfilled their responsibilities to ensure that the event was organized in an orderly manner and the overall testing ran smoothly, accumulating valuable experience for the main competition. It is reported that the badminton running test of the Special Olympics is co organized by the Macau Special Olympics and the Macau Badminton Association, with six levels of events including men's and women's singles. The badminton running test of the Paralympic Games is co organized by the Macau Paralympic Committee and the Macau Disabled Persons' Cultural and Sports Association, the Macau Deaf Sports Association, and the Macau Badminton Association. The event has six levels, namely WH1WH2 (wheelchair), SL3, SL4 (lower limb disability), SU5 (upper limb disability), SS6 (short stature), and hearing disability groups. Athletes from Guangdong and Macau compete in groups. The Preparatory Office of the Macau Region stated that by conducting operational tests for the Paralympic Games, comprehensively reviewing various work details, and continuing to optimize and improve venue facilities and event preparations, we will work together with various sectors of society to provide solid support for the event before the opening sprint, ensuring the smooth holding of the 15th National Games and Paralympic Games.
