The expected scale of this bond issuance is 2.5 billion yuan. In addition to continuing to issue Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone themed bonds and green bonds, it will also issue special bonds and blue bonds to support the 15th National Games projects for the first time. All bonds will be issued to professional investors. The Monetary Authority of Macau welcomes Guangdong Province to issue local government bonds in Macau again. This is the fifth consecutive year since 2021 that Guangdong Province has issued offshore RMB local government bonds in Macau. The variety of bond issuances has also continued to enrich, reflecting the important support of the central government and Guangdong Province for Macau to accelerate the cultivation of new financial formats such as the bond market and promote moderate and diversified economic development. The Monetary Authority of Macau stated that Guangdong Province's issuance of special bonds for National Games projects in Macau highlights its support for the joint hosting of a large-scale sports event by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau for the first time, and is also an important manifestation of accelerating the integrated development of the Greater Bay Area and supporting Macau's integration into the overall national development. At the same time, Guangdong Province continues to issue green bonds and blue bonds for the first time, which will help enrich the variety of Macau's bond market and encourage more issuers to issue sustainable bonds such as green and blue bonds in Macau.
