On August 18th, the steel truss beam of the Hanjiang Extra Large Bridge of the Xi'an Shiyan High speed Railway (referred to as the "West Ten High speed Railway") constructed by China Railway 11th Bureau was successfully closed. The Hanjiang Grand Bridge is located in Shiyan City, Hubei Province, spanning the Danjiangkou Reservoir area. It is a controlled project for the entire West Tenth High Speed Railway, with a total length of 917.45 meters and a main span of 420 meters. The steel truss beam of this joint is 840 meters long, 11 meters wide, and 9.4 meters high, using a gradual triangular truss structure with a heaviest truss section of 36.4 tons. The West Tenth High Speed Railway starts from Xi'an, Shaanxi and crosses the Qinling Mountains to the southeast, ending in Shiyan, Hubei. The main line is 255.76 kilometers long and has a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After the opening of the West Tenth High speed Railway, the journey from Xi'an to Shiyan will be completed within one hour. The closure of the steel truss beam of the Hanjiang Grand Bridge has laid the foundation for the timely completion and opening of the entire line. (New Society)
