The Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Cen Haohui, recently presided over the first meeting of the working group for the establishment of a technology research and development industrial park, discussing and coordinating matters such as promoting the planning and construction arrangements of the Macao technology research and development industrial park. It is reported that the construction of a technology research and development industrial park is one of the four key projects proposed in the first policy address of the current special administrative region government. During the meeting, Dai Jianye, Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macau SAR Government, introduced the preparation and planning of the industrial park. He stated that the industrial park will become an important engine to support the moderate and diversified development of Macau's economy. Currently, efforts are being made to accelerate various research and preparation work, especially in continuously optimizing processes and simplifying non essential administrative procedures. As for specific matters such as planning location and project development direction, public consultation will be conducted in the future. Cen Haohui stated that the Macau Science and Technology Research and Development Industrial Park is an important project to optimize Macau's technological innovation environment and promote diversified economic development. Various departments are actively and pragmatically promoting the planning and construction of the park, accelerating the moderate diversification and high-quality development of Macau's economy. At the same time, research and formulate a comprehensive legal system during the construction stage of the industrial park, and provide supporting and supportive measures to provide systematic support for technology enterprises entering the industrial park.
