The reporter learned from the National Bureau of Statistics that in the first half of this year, cultural and related industry enterprises above designated size in China (hereinafter referred to as "cultural enterprises") achieved a revenue of 7129.2 billion yuan, an increase of 7.4% over the same period last year. Among them, the revenue of three major industries including content creation and production, creative design services, and news information services achieved double-digit growth, with growth rates of 11.8%, 11.8%, and 10.8%, respectively. The cultural service industry plays a strong supporting role. In the first half of the year, the cultural service industry achieved a revenue of 3921.8 billion yuan, an increase of 10.7% over the same period last year. The proportion of cultural service industry enterprises' revenue to cultural enterprises above designated size was 55.0%, an increase of 1.6 percentage points over the same period last year. The contribution rate to the growth of revenue of all cultural enterprises above designated size was 77.0%. The cultural new industry is developing rapidly. In the first half of the year, 16 sub industries with obvious characteristics of cultural new formats achieved a revenue of 3156.4 billion yuan, an increase of 13.6% over the same period last year, 6.2 percentage points faster than all cultural enterprises above designated size. The contribution rate of revenue from cultural new formats to the growth of all cultural enterprises above designated size was 76.8%. The profitability of cultural enterprises continues to improve.
