On August 3, 2025, two new offshore work platforms (JANA506 and JANA507) built by China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Wuhan Ship Machinery departed from Qingdao for services in Saudi Arabia. Each platform can accommodate 120 people and has a draft of only 2 meters, designed specifically for shallow water oil fields in the Persian Gulf. This platform adopts the concept of environmental protection, is equipped with intelligent systems, and has multiple functions such as self movement, lifting operations, and cargo hoisting. It has internationally certified advanced technology, representing that China's equipment of this kind has reached the world's leading level and can flexibly adapt to the needs of complex sea operations.
