The reporter learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that eight departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development recently jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for Digital Transformation of the Machinery Industry (2025-2030)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), promoting the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of the industry. The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that currently, with the rapid development of digital intelligence technology represented by the new generation of artificial intelligence, and the accelerated integration of the real economy and digital economy, the digital transformation of the mechanical industry needs to expand to a larger scale, penetrate deeper, and evolve to a higher level. At the same time, there are numerous sub sectors in the mechanical industry, and there are significant differences in scale, production organization, and digital transformation stages between industries. It is urgent to formulate a "plan" to promote the digital transformation of the mechanical industry itself and support the digital transformation of other industries. Multiple measures should be taken to accelerate the pace of digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of the mechanical industry. The Plan proposes that by 2027, digital intelligence technology will be widely applied in product research and development design, production and manufacturing, business management, operation and maintenance services, and the proportion of enterprises with a maturity level of second level or above in intelligent manufacturing capabilities will reach 50%. At least 200 excellent intelligent factories will be built, and a group of system solution suppliers who understand both the industry and digitalization will be cultivated, forming no less than 200 excellent scenario based solutions and significantly enhancing service capabilities. By 2030, large-scale enterprises in the machinery industry will have basically completed a round of digital transformation, with 60% of enterprises having a maturity level of second level or above in intelligent manufacturing capabilities, and no less than 500 excellent level intelligent factories will be built. A complete and safe controllable product and service supply system will be basically formed, and the level of digitalization and intelligence in the industry will be greatly improved. The "Plan" focuses on the digital transformation of the machinery industry itself and empowering the digital transformation of other industries, and implements the "Four Actions" around the "three major areas" of intelligent equipment, intelligent manufacturing, and intelligent services. It proposes 12 key tasks, with intelligent manufacturing as the main direction, deep integration of equipment technology and new generation information technology as the mainline, product intelligence, production digitization, and service intelligence as the starting points, focusing on the needs of enterprise development and industrial transformation and upgrading, adhering to innovative development, safety and controllability, scene guidance, problem orientation, developing a batch of intelligent equipment, building a batch of intelligent factories, expanding a batch of intelligent services, promoting the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the machinery industry, and providing solid technical equipment support for promoting new industrialization.
