The final and award ceremony of the 2025 Macau Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition will be held on the 5th at the Macau Science Museum. The "Zero Touch Diagnosis and Treatment" and "Research and Industrialization of Microchip level High power High precision Laser Precision Manufacturing Equipment" projects won the championship in the start-up team group and enterprise open group respectively. This competition attracted a total of 171 entries from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong, and Macau. After professional evaluation and preliminary selection, 24 projects advanced. At the finals, each project showcased its innovative strength in areas such as new materials and hard technology, low-carbon and green environmental protection, intelligent technology applications, biomedicine, big health, and cultural tourism and commerce through a 5-minute roadshow and a 3-minute real-time Q&A. In addition to the first, second, and third place winners in the startup team and enterprise public group, the most valuable investment award, most promising startup team award, most applicable value award, most sustainable development award, international market link award, and direct event push award were also presented on site. Zheng Xiaomin, Acting Director of the Economic and Technological Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, stated in her speech at the award ceremony that the SAR government has always actively promoted youth innovation and entrepreneurship, providing appropriate support for start-up enterprises through various policy measures. With the successive introduction of various policies and measures in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, it further provides solid guarantees for young people to expand their careers in the Greater Bay Area and build a higher quality and more dynamic innovation and entrepreneurship ecological environment. I hope all young friends can seize the development opportunities and catch the fast train of regional cooperation and development. It is reported that in order to help participating entrepreneurs better understand the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, the competition will organize final projects to visit incubation bases and well-known enterprises in Hengqin, Zhuhai, Foshan, Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Shenzhen from the 6th, allowing them to explore new opportunities for cooperation and landing.
