On August 5, the expedition ceremony of the 11th Chinese peacekeeping police team to the United Nations Mission Area in South Sudan was held at the Peacekeeping Police Training Center of the Chinese People's Police University. On the early morning of the 6th, 17 Chinese peacekeeping police officers will fly to South Sudan to carry out peacekeeping missions. The relevant person in charge of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security stated that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations and the 25th anniversary of Chinese police participation in UN peacekeeping operations. As a permanent member of the UN Security Council and the second largest contributor to peacekeeping, China firmly supports and actively participates in UN peacekeeping operations. The dispatch of a rotating police force to the United Nations South Sudan mission area this time is a concrete manifestation of the Chinese police's commitment to global security initiatives and fulfilling their responsibilities as a major power.
