The surging rivers and lakes will eventually return to the sea, and the green pines at the foot of Yue Mountain will merge into the clouds. ”Wu Xi, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said in a speech at the launching ceremony that this year is the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti Fascist War, and also the 80th anniversary of Taiwan's recovery. Hunan was once a battlefield of resistance against Japan to save the nation from subjugation and fight hard, witnessing the glorious moment of defeating the Japanese invaders and accepting surrender, and also writing the struggle of the sons and daughters of Sanxiang to strive for progress and rejuvenation. The more complex the situation and the greater the difficulties, the more important the social responsibility of cross-strait media becomes. We hope that journalists from both sides of the Taiwan Strait can record and spread their observations, thoughts, and ideas, and promote the positive energy of the two sides working together for rejuvenation. Sui Zhongcheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference Party Group, said in his speech that Hunan and Taiwan are historically connected, closely related in bloodline, culturally inherited, and commercially connected. The people of the two places have deep roots, deep fate, and deep friendship. This event is not only to remember history and honor the martyrs, but also to showcase the vibrant vitality and new atmosphere of Hunan today, in order to jointly write a new chapter of cross-strait integration and development.
