The first "Yunling Pomegranate Red" Youth Calligraphy Competition in Yunnan Province was held in Xinping Yi and Dai Autonomous County, Yuxi City. 461 young calligraphy enthusiasts from the province use brush and ink as a medium to interpret the profound meaning of "the Chinese nation is one family, working together to build the Chinese Dream". Xinping County is located in the southwestern part of central Yunnan, on Ailao Mountain, and enjoys the reputation of "the hometown of Chinese Huayao Dai", "the hometown of Chu oranges", and "China's natural oxygen bar". The theme of this calligraphy contest is "The Lantern Lantern Blossom Flows to Beijing's Ink Calligraphy to Run Xinping", which aims to guide young people to write Chinese characters well, speak Chinese well, and be good at Chinese people. In the calligraphy contest, they can understand the broad and profound Chinese culture, enhance national unity in exchange and mutual learning, and build a common spiritual home for the Chinese nation. This is a grand competition and exchange of calligraphy and painting. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, there were 640 juren, 77 jinshi, and 15 Hanlin scholars, giving birth to Yuan Jiagu, the only economic special subject top scholar in Yunnan in the late Qing Dynasty. Zhang Shun said that there are many people who write calligraphy in Shiping, and he and his wife also got together because of calligraphy. I mainly write seal script and clerical script, my wife writes regular script, and my two children like clerical script. "Zhang Shun said that in this competition, his 12-year-old eldest son Zhang Lixiao and 7-year-old second son Zhang Lihao won the second prize and excellent award respectively, and the family was particularly happy. This calligraphy competition has a total of 5 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 30 third prizes, and 150 excellent prizes. The competition ended on that day and awards were presented.
