The closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 10th Guangxi Opera Youth Actor Competition was held at the Guangxi Ethnic Theater located in Nanning. After four days of intense competition, 71 young talents from all over Guangxi took to the stage to showcase the achievements of talent cultivation in Guangxi opera performance; A group of new forces with solid foundation and unlimited potential stood out on stage. The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Theater introduces that the Guangxi Opera Youth Actor Competition was founded in 1989 and has been held for ten sessions since its establishment. This year's Guangxi Opera Youth Actor Competition was officially launched in April 2025. A total of 123 contestants from 12 cultural and artistic units were shortlisted for re evaluation. Eventually, 71 young opera talents from 11 cultural and artistic units advanced to the finals, including six major opera genres including Gui Opera, Zhuang Opera, Cai Diao, Cantonese Opera, Peking Opera, and Yong Opera. After 4 days and 8 rounds of competition, 8 first prizes, 11 second prizes, and 18 third prizes were finally selected. (New Society)
