The theme of drug prohibition is a heavy topic in film and television creation. I have been creating around the theme of drug control, from 'The Mekong River Case' to 'Operation Icebreaking', and recently to the audience's' Anti Drug Storm '. This kind of 'writing again' is not only a continuation of artistic creation, but also a response to reality time and time again. The theme of drug prohibition is worth repeatedly writing, not only because of its dramatic tension, but also because of the profound warning of real life. The drug problem lurks in the hidden corners around us. In 2013, I started writing the script for 'The Mekong River Case'. At first, it was only due to a news photo -13 Chinese sailors were brutally killed in the waters of the Golden Triangle. This cross-border case has shocked both China and foreign countries. Many people may only remember the name Nuo Kang, but what I care more about and want to showcase is the fearless and selfless dedication and sacrifice of anti drug police officers. When I went to Xishuangbanna, Yunnan with the filming team for an interview, a police officer involved in the "10 · 5" case told me, "We're not afraid of death, we're afraid we won't catch him." The expression was simple, but it shocked me: the anti drug police's words demonstrated a belief in putting life and death aside and vowing to bring the drug demon to justice. This belief is moving. So in 'The Mekong River Case', I didn't design a heroic protagonist, but instead made every character restore 'reality': they would also feel tired, angry, confused, and fearful, but they still chose to go on.
