Experts, scholars, industry representatives, and others from Hong Kong and mainland China discussed the development opportunities of Hong Kong and the entire Greater Bay Area in the "AI era", while focusing on the complementary advantages of technology research and market expansion between Shanghai and Hong Kong, exploring the new future of intelligent economy. The attendees discussed how to deepen the cooperation between Shanghai and Hong Kong in artificial intelligence, proposing to strengthen innovation collaboration between the two cities and jointly build the foundation of an intelligent economy; Focus on advantageous areas and co create demonstration application scenarios; Suggestions for deepening talent exchange and jointly building an open and integrated ecosystem. Zhong Yongxi, the representative of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in mainland China, analyzed that artificial intelligence companies can cooperate with Hong Kong in three aspects. Firstly, Hong Kong has obvious financial advantages, and artificial intelligence companies can choose to list in Hong Kong with diverse financing channels; Secondly, Hong Kong has several world-renowned higher education institutions, and the SAR government has been promoting the development of science and technology innovation with high investment in the past 10 years. Currently, Hong Kong has gathered many top scientific research talents, which can help artificial intelligence enterprises overcome technological challenges; Thirdly, Hong Kong can assist artificial intelligence companies in accelerating the internationalization of their applications in mainland China. Relevant institutions from the Macau SAR signed important agreements during this year's World Artificial Intelligence Conference. The International Cooperation Forum on Narrowing the AI Gap between Emerging Economies and Developing Countries was held on July 27th at the "Big Zero Bay" in Minhang, Shanghai. Institutions from Shanghai and Macau signed strategic cooperation agreements on site to deepen collaborative innovation and cooperation in the field of AI healthcare. According to the agreement signed on the 27th, the Macau Translational Medicine Center and the Global Industrial Artificial Intelligence Alliance Center of Excellence located in Shanghai have initiated the joint construction of an Artificial Intelligence Translational Medicine Center. Both parties will fully rely on their respective advantages, deeply integrate resources, adopt a "dual center" operation mode, and establish the "Shanghai Macao Artificial Intelligence Translational Medicine Center" in Shanghai and the "Macao Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Translational Medicine Center" in the Macao Special Administrative Region. It is reported that this "dual center" working mechanism between Shanghai and Macao will form a close linkage system of "scientific research source+achievement transformation", focusing on four major areas of scientific research, clinical translation, standard setting and international cooperation, and promoting the key technology research and transformation of artificial intelligence in precision medicine, modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, health monitoring and other fields.
