Visit the Wildlife Rescue and Breeding Station of Qilian Mountain National Park

In Qilian County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, located on the northeast edge of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, there is a wildlife rescue and breeding station in a national park called Qilian Mountain National Park Wildlife Rescue and Breeding Station (hereinafter referred to as the "Rescue Station"). The rescue station is located in the 5A level scenic area of Amidongsuo at the foot of Qilian Mountain in Aruo Township, with an altitude of nearly 3000 meters. It is one of the well-equipped and convenient wildlife rescue and breeding bases on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau. The rescue station mainly undertakes functions such as wildlife rescue, wildlife investigation and monitoring, monitoring of the release of rescued animals, science popularization and publicity, and nature education. As of now, the rescue station has rescued and housed a total of 36 species and 211 wild animals, including 10 species of national first level protected wild animals such as desert cats, vultures, and snow leopards, and 17 species of national second level protected wild animals such as rock sheep and Tibetan antelopes.
