At the ceremony, the Deputy Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Cho Wing hing, delivered a speech stating that in recent years, Hong Kong's research teams have actively participated in space exploration missions with the support of the state. It is truly an honor for Hong Kong to contribute its own strength to the national space mission; Hong Kong should continue to do a good job in aerospace innovation and science education, cultivate scientific research talents, and build Hong Kong into an influential international innovation and science center. Cai Guanshen, President of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, expressed the hope that Hong Kong youth can personally experience the glorious achievements of the national aerospace industry through participating in activities, stimulate their interest and enthusiasm for technology, and further understand the development of the country. It is reported that the "Youth Astronaut Verification Camp" was first held in 2009, and this year is the 14th edition. Over the years, about 400 students have participated. The recruitment for this experience camp began in May and received a warm response, with over 80 middle schools and about 120 students registering. After three rounds of selection, including astronomy and space science quiz competitions, as well as a three-day pre camp training and interviews, 30 students from Grade 2 to Grade 3 stood out and were selected as "Young Astronauts". During the 9-day experience camp, students will visit several national key astronomical and aerospace science facilities, such as Beijing Aerospace City and Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. They will also go to the astronaut research and training center to experience space medicine projects and astronaut training projects, including putting on and taking off space suits and tasting space food. The experience camp is jointly organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and co organized by the Beijing Hong Kong Academic Exchange Center.
