The White Pagoda of Liaoqing Prefecture, also known as the Liao Shakyamuni Buddha Relic Pagoda, located in Balin Right Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, is a part of the third batch of national key cultural relics protection units - Liaoling and Fengling City. The tower was first built in the 16th year of the Chongxi reign of the Liao Dynasty (1047). It is an octagonal seven level, 73.27 meter high brick and wood structure arched pavilion tower, and is an important physical relic for studying Liao Dynasty architecture and Buddhist culture. In recent years, with the repair and protection of relevant local departments, the Liao Pagoda has been effectively protected, attracting tourists to come and visit. (New Society)
