Zhiyuan Robotics and Yushu Technology have won the bid for a purchase order of 124 million yuan for humanoid robots from China Mobile's subsidiary. Leju Robotics is expected to deliver thousands of units this year, and the procurement demand of educational institutions, car companies, and factories is also increasing... The industry believes that with the acceleration of humanoid robot mass production, its large-scale application will usher in a dawn, and 2025 to 2026 will be a critical window period. Technological breakthroughs, cost control, and industry chain collaboration will determine the mass production process of humanoid robots. On June 25th, according to the procurement project results released by China Mobile Procurement and Tendering Network, Zhiyuan Robot and Yushu Technology won the bid for China Mobile (Hangzhou) Information Technology Co., Ltd.'s humanoid bipedal robot outsourcing service procurement project. According to the previous project comparison announcement, the total budget for the procurement project of China Mobile (Hangzhou) Information Technology Co., Ltd. is 1240.5 million yuan (including tax). Among them, procurement package 1 is a full-size humanoid bipedal robot with a budget of 78 million yuan (including tax), and the final winner is the Zhiyuan robot; Purchase Package 2 includes small-sized humanoid bipedal robots, computing power backpacks, and five finger dexterous hands, with a budget of 46.05 million yuan (including tax). The final winner was Yushu Technology. Wanlian Securities believes that Zhiyuan Robotics and Yushu Technology winning the 124 million human robot order is the largest single order publicly announced by a domestic human robot company so far. It is not only a commercial breakthrough for the two leading companies, but also a key turning point for human robots to move from the laboratory to large-scale commercial use, indicating the dawn of large-scale application of human robots and the prospect of commercialization. 2025 is the first year of mass production of humanoid robots. In addition to China Mobile, the procurement demand of educational institutions such as Tongji University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, as well as car companies and factories, is also increasing. ”Wanlian Securities stated. According to data from Qichacha, Zhiyuan Robot has won the bid for the procurement project of data acquisition and exhibition robots for Zhuhai Intelligent Application Innovation Center, and Yushu Technology has also won the bid for the procurement project of mobile science popularization facilities resources for China Science and Technology Museum in 2025. Peng Zhihui, co-founder and CTO of Zhiyuan Robotics, said, "Our revenue last year was about 100 million yuan, and our goal this year is to achieve several fold growth. Confidence comes from multiple aspects. Firstly, orders have indeed increased, including the expansion of new products renewed by existing customers. Secondly, our product matrix is also being improved, expanding from a single ontology sales model to a solution plus service model. In addition, ecological cooperation is also being implemented. We will even actively invest in some ecological partners to jointly build some value scenarios with data acquisition centers, data service enterprises, etc." It is reported that currently, Zhiyuan Robotics has produced more than a thousand humanoid robots, mainly used in flexible manufacturing, scientific research and education, entertainment performances, exhibition hall explanations, embodied research, special doubles, etc. Six major scenarios. Not long ago, Wang Song, the general manager of Leju (Suzhou) Robot Technology Co., Ltd., also revealed that "the company delivered 100 humanoid robots last year, and the order volume in the first quarter of this year increased by 200%. It is expected that the delivery volume for the whole year will be around a thousand units. In order to meet the demand of new customers, we added a production line at the end of last year, basically delivering one unit for every unit offline." Currently, the humanoid robots delivered by Leju Robot are mostly "on duty" in scientific research institutions and laboratories, and some are mainly engaged in guiding and purchasing in commercial service places such as exhibition halls and shopping malls, as well as sorting and handling materials in industrial scenes. Recently, many listed companies have revealed that they have actively laid out in the field of lightweight materials for humanoid robots. On May 30th, Zhongding Corporation announced on its interactive platform that it has tailor-made 33 rubber core components for the Mojia robot, including 22 humanoid robot components and 11 robot dog components, mainly providing reliable guarantees for the flexible interaction and durability of robots in the fields of damage resistance, impact resistance, and lightweight. On June 19th, Wankai New Materials announced that as one of the leading investors, Wankai New Materials participated in the PRE-A round of financing for Lingxin Qiaoshou, with a post investment equity stake of 8.2%. Wan Kai New Materials stated that the company's investment this time is not only optimistic about the humanoid robot track, but also hopes to collaborate with Lingxin Qiaoshou to jointly develop and explore the possibility of applying the company's polyester new material products and other lightweight high-performance material products in humanoid robots. On July 14th, Henghui Security also revealed on the interactive platform that with high strength, lightweight, and excellent flexibility, the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers produced by the company have significant technological adaptation advantages in scenarios such as robot dexterous hand tendons, lightweight shell profiles, and flexible joint protection parts. At present, the company has completed multiple rounds of sample testing with leading companies in the field of robotics, and is working together to promote the innovative implementation of this material in the field of robotics applications. Dongwu Securities believes that lightweighting is a prerequisite for the commercialization of humanoid robots. Lightweight technology can solve several major pain points in the current humanoid robot industry, such as battery life, heat dissipation, substandard component performance, and insufficient flexibility. Due to the fact that the road to lightweighting has just begun, material lightweighting is currently the mainstream path. Based on this, in addition to the listed companies mentioned above, multiple industry chain enterprises are also making efforts in the material lightweighting of humanoid robots. Xinbo Corporation announced that it is actively promoting the application of aluminum alloy materials in the field of humanoid robots; Julun Intelligent claims that the company's latest development of several specifications of XT reducers can meet the lightweight requirements of humanoid robots, improve the rigidity, accuracy, and lifespan of reducers; Weike Technology stated that the company has existing or potential technological reserves, involving lightweight products such as joint motor components, PEEK screws, planetary gearboxes, etc. for humanoid robots. It is actively connecting with domestic robot host manufacturers and first tier suppliers to promote the application of existing and potential technological reserves in the humanoid robot industry chain companies. The synergy of the industrial chain determines the mass production process. The industry believes that humanoid robots are still in the transitional stage from "laboratory innovation" to "market-oriented explosion", and the period from 2025 to 2026 may be a critical window. Technological breakthroughs, cost control, and industrial chain synergy will determine the mass production process of humanoid robots. Peng Zhihui said, "This is an emerging industry without any reference. We are growing together with all suppliers. Previously, no manufacturer could provide mature supply for the core components of Zhiyuan robots. We worked together with suppliers to develop and finally achieved enough stability, maturity, and low cost." "Price reduction is the key to the commercialization of humanoid robots. ”Wanlian Securities stated in a research report that cost is still one of the important factors restricting the large-scale application of humanoid robots, and it is necessary to overcome the cost difficulty. It is recommended to focus on companies that master core component technology and achieve low-cost mass production, as well as high-quality domestic component companies that benefit from the large-scale application of humanoid robots. Wang Song said, "Currently, the embodied intelligence industry is developing in three directions: brain, cerebellum, and ontology. Through scenario polishing, it gradually matures and realizes industrialization. This path is correct and has broad prospects." He believes that in the research and development process, some technical issues have not yet been verified by industrialization. However, with the influx of a large amount of funds and policy support, "technology will gradually converge to a path that can be applied and industrialized. At most, within 5 to 10 years, the industry will show exponential growth." However, Minsheng Securities reminds that the overall humanoid robot industry is still in the early stage, and the commercialization process may be delayed due to low adaptability to application scenarios and high cost per unit. In addition, humanoid robots have not yet entered the stage of large-scale production, and there is a risk that the current technological path is not suitable for large-scale production. If the technological path is changed in the future, the demand for related parts may not be as expected. (New Society)
