The reporter learned from the Macau SAR Public Security Police that from July 17, 2025, nationals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Sultanate of Oman will be granted visa free and pre entry permits to enter the Macau Special Administrative Region, with a maximum stay of 30 days per entry. At this point, the number of countries that are granted visa free and pre entry permits to enter Macau will increase to 87. In addition, individuals holding passports from the five countries mentioned above can, in accordance with the new regulations issued on June 9th, take buses with nine or fewer seats and go through the Macau Port Lane of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macau Bridge without getting off to handle exit procedures. Starting from the implementation date of the visa free policy, they can also go through entry procedures without getting off. At the same time, holders of the above national passports, who are over 7 years old and 1.2 meters tall or above, and have permanent residence identity cards of foreigners in the People's Republic of China or residence permits of the People's Republic of China for more than 6 months, can use the "cooperative inspection self-help channel" at Hengqin Port after going through the self-help customs clearance filing procedures for Macao and the mainland. After completing the registration procedures for Macau's self-service customs clearance, traditional two door self-service channels located at Macau's customs gates, external ports, and airports can also be used for customs clearance. The Macau SAR Public Security Police stated that with the further expansion of the visa free policy, it will help attract more international tourists to visit Macau, highlighting Macau's role as an important gateway for the country's high-level opening-up to the outside world. The Public Security Police Department will continue to review customs clearance services, proactively optimize clearance processes, and provide every passenger with a high-quality entry and exit experience.
