Since the beginning of this year, the procuratorial organs have continuously strengthened the supervision of the execution of criminal penalties. Data shows that in the first half of this year, procuratorial organs across the country accepted more than 130000 cases of "temporary reduction of leave" supervision, and put forward more than 2000 written corrective and prosecutorial suggestions for "temporary reduction of leave". At the same time, we have comprehensively carried out prosecutorial investigations outside of prison, and the procuratorial organs across the country have supervised the detention and execution of more than 1400 people by relevant agencies. Punishment execution supervision is an important part of criminal procedure supervision, an important component of criminal prosecution, and an important force in maintaining stability, safeguarding human rights, and protecting justice. In the first half of this year, the procuratorial organs continuously improved the supervision mechanism of "dispatching+touring+technology". Procuratorial organs in various regions vigorously promoted job rotation and exchange in accordance with the requirements of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, established a scientific hierarchical structure of dispatched procuratorial personnel, and further consolidated the foundation of dispatched procuratorial personnel. At the same time, the role of the "sharp sword" of the patrol inspection has become more prominent. In response to the problems found in the supervision and law enforcement of prisons, detention centers, and other areas during the special patrol inspection in 2024, as well as the problems in the performance of prosecutorial duties by relevant procuratorial organs, continuous supervision and rectification will be carried out. The investigation and supervision of criminal clues related to the duties of judicial personnel such as favoritism, fraud, "reduction of leave and suspension", abuse of power, and abuse of detainees will be carried out.
