Recently, the National Medical Products Administration issued a notice on measures to optimize the full lifecycle supervision and support the innovative development of high-end medical devices (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"), fully supporting major innovations in high-end medical devices. Zhu Keli, Executive Director of the China Information Association and Founding President of the National Research Institute for New Economy, stated in an interview with reporters that the release of the "Announcement" is a major positive news for China's high-end medical device field. It focuses on innovation in cutting-edge core technologies such as brain computer interfaces, artificial intelligence, and medical robots, and puts forward specific requirements and directions, which will effectively promote the acceleration of scientific research achievements into practical products and better meet the clinical needs of patients. From the perspective of frequent policy benefits, the Announcement clearly regards medical robots, high-end medical imaging equipment, artificial intelligence medical devices, and new biomaterials medical devices as key areas for shaping the new quality and productivity of medical devices, and proposes measures such as optimizing special approval procedures, improving classification and naming principles, continuously improving standard systems, further clarifying registration and review requirements, improving communication and guidance mechanisms and expert consultation mechanisms, refining post listing regulatory requirements, strengthening post listing quality and safety monitoring, closely following industry development, promoting regulatory scientific research, and promoting global regulatory coordination. At present, domestic enterprises are gradually breaking through technological barriers, and the performance of some products has approached international standards. The relevant person in charge of Xi'an International Medical Investment Co., Ltd. said that the company has built a high-level information platform, carried out Internet medical services, and took the lead in deploying DeepSeek, actively embracing digital intelligence medical reform, with a view to accelerating high-quality development and improving digital intelligence services.
