Wenling, Zhejiang: Breeding and release in the East China Sea

2025-07-04

On July 3, 2025, a transport ship loaded with 8-compartment large yellow croaker fry arrived at the national marine ranch in the "Jiluo San Niu" sea area of Wenling City, Zhejiang Province. Under the full supervision of fishery experts, after multiple processes such as sampling testing and specification verification, 1.77 million large yellow croaker fry were successfully transported into the sea through pipelines. Wenling City adopts a strategy of staggered release in different time periods, multi regional ecological adaptation, and multi species ecological niche complementarity. By 2025, more than 43 million seedlings of various aquatic organisms such as yellow croaker, black snapper, silver carp, Manchurian needleless squid, and mussels have been accurately released into the nearshore waters, gradually building a three-dimensional marine biological resource restoration system and effectively promoting the restoration and revitalization of Zhejiang fishing grounds.
