The 12th Meeting of Transport Ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, with the theme of "Promoting the Shanghai Spirit and Promoting Sustainable Transport Cooperation", was held in Tianjin on the 2nd. The meeting approved and signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Transport Authorities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States on the Cooperation of Silk Road Stations and the Minutes of the 12th Meeting of Transport Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States, which will further strengthen regional connectivity and cooperation. Chinese Minister of Transport Liu Wei stated that China proposes cooperation among all parties of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to build a "Silk Road relay station" to provide necessary service guarantees such as parking, rest, and hot water supply for drivers engaged in international road transportation in the region. It is reported that transportation authorities from Pakistan, Mongolia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and other countries attended the meeting. At the meeting, the heads of transportation authorities from various countries also exchanged in-depth views on accelerating the construction of the Trans Caspian International Transport Corridor, accelerating the construction of the China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan Railway and the third railway corridor between China and Kazakhstan, continuously promoting the high-quality development of China Europe freight trains, actively building multimodal transport corridors and logistics centers, and promoting the electronicization of international road transport driving permits in the field of transportation.
