The launch ceremony of the Hong Kong Celebration Committee's series of activities celebrating the 28th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland was held at the Hong Kong Coliseum on the 30th, unveiling the series of celebration activities with the theme of "Working Together to Create Brilliance, Governance and Prosperity". Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam delivered a speech at the launch ceremony, stating that today marks the fifth anniversary of the promulgation and implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law. In the past five years, Hong Kong has gone from chaos to governance, and is now moving towards both governance and prosperity. Economic development has regained momentum, and new opportunities have emerged for social welfare. The SAR government will continue to fully leverage Hong Kong's advantages in internal and external communication under the "One Country, Two Systems" policy. I believe that as long as all sectors of society work together with the SAR government, forge ahead, seek innovation and change, and jointly build a more prosperous Hong Kong, the "Pearl of the Orient" will be even more dazzling. During his speech, Zhou Ji, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central Government in Hong Kong, said that Hong Kong is our common home. No matter where we come from, regardless of gender or age, we are all stakeholders, contributors, and beneficiaries. Building Hong Kong well is our shared responsibility. Setting aside distinctions and seeking common ground, working together with one heart and one mind, this home will surely become more and more beautiful. I firmly believe that with the strong support of the central government, the responsibility of the Chief Executive and the SAR government, and the joint efforts of all sectors of society, Hong Kong's future will be even better, and the cause of "One Country, Two Systems" will surely move steadily and far. The Chairman of the Hong Kong Celebration Committee, Tan Jinqiu, stated that Hong Kong is moving towards a new stage of governance and prosperity with a new attitude, and is in a critical period of creating new situations and achieving new leaps. We hope that all sectors of society will firmly support the Chief Executive and Government of the Special Administrative Region in governing in accordance with the law, seize opportunities, work together with our compatriots in the motherland, and jointly promote the stable and far-reaching implementation of the "One Country, Two Systems" policy. It is reported that there are over 500 celebratory events in the series, with the key events being the celebration held in Victoria Park and the "Star Shine Bauhinia Celebration Return" evening party. That evening, the "Star Shine Bauhinia Celebration Return" evening party was held after the opening ceremony. The evening party is divided into six sections, covering singing, dancing, martial arts, and cross-border cooperation, integrating creativity and Chinese culture. At the party, the stars shone brightly, and the audience held national flags, regional flags, and small hand props, showing great enthusiasm. When Hong Kong pianist Shen Jingtao, who recently won the Van Kleben International Piano Competition, performed on stage, applause erupted from the audience. The evening party came to an end with the passionate singing of songs "The Great Wall Never Falls", "Pearl of the Orient", and "Growing Together with My Motherland" by Hong Kong tenor singer Warren Mok and several Hong Kong singers.
