On the early morning of July 1st, the Shanghai Chongqing Chengdu High speed Railway Tongtaiyang Extra Large Bridge, constructed by China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau, successfully closed the cable-stayed bridge spanning the Yangtze River. The total length of the Shanghai Chongqing Chengdu High speed Railway Tongtaiyang Grand Bridge is 172.9 kilometers, spanning three cities in Jiangsu Province: Nantong, Taizhou, and Yangzhou. The total length of the cable-stayed bridge across the Yinjiang River, which is connected by a joint, is 522.3 meters, with a main span of 220 meters. It is the first cable-stayed bridge on the Shanghai Chongqing Chengdu high-speed railway in the Shanghai Nanjing section to achieve a joint connection. As a key control node project of the entire line, the smooth closure of the bridge has created favorable conditions for the subsequent track laying and full line connection of the Shanghai Chongqing Chengdu high-speed railway Tongtai Yang super bridge. The Shanghai Chongqing Chengdu high-speed railway is one of the backbone channels of the national "Eight Verticals and Eight Horizontals" high-speed railway, with a total length of about 2100 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
