Recently, the Liaoning and Shandong aircraft carrier fleets of the Chinese Navy completed practical training at sea and safely returned to their homeports. In this deep-sea practical training, the two aircraft carrier formations adhered to practical training, joint combat training, and systematic training. They marched out of the western Pacific Ocean, coordinated with relevant military forces, organized mutual conditions and opponents for practical confrontation, and completed subjects such as reconnaissance and early warning, defense and counterattack, sea assault, air defense, and carrier based aircraft cross day and night tactical flight. During the mission, the Liaoning and Shandong aircraft carrier formations actively explored the combat elements and practical application of their forces, resulting in multiple research achievements and effectively enhancing the combat capability of the aircraft carrier formation system. This is another system confrontation exercise conducted by two aircraft carrier formations in the open sea and ocean, following the first joint exercise organized by the two aircraft carrier formations last year. During the training period, foreign naval aircraft conducted multiple close in reconnaissance, tracking, and surveillance operations. The formation maintained a high level of vigilance and was ready to respond at any time. Multiple carrier based aircraft were organized to take off and respond professionally and prudently. This training task is a routine training organized according to the annual plan, which effectively tests the effectiveness of joint military training and improves the ability to safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests.
