Four giant pandas from Japan safely return home

On June 28th, a plane carrying giant pandas "Liangbang", "Jiebang", "Caibang", and "Fengbang" arrived at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. Under the joint guarantee of China and Japan, giant pandas "Liangbang", "Jiebang", "Caibang", and "Fengbang" living in Shirahama Wildlife Park, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan arrived safely at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport at 18:51 on the 28th by chartered flight and were then transferred to the isolation and quarantine site of Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base for quarantine. The international cooperation on giant panda conservation with Shirahama Wildlife Park in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan began in 1994 and is the first international cooperation project for giant panda conservation in China. Over the years, China and Japan have established a good cooperative relationship and achieved significant results in various fields such as giant panda breeding and management, reproduction and rearing, disease treatment, technical exchanges, and public education. They have cooperated to breed 17 surviving cubs, providing important reference for global giant panda conservation research. (New Society)
