On the evening of June 24th local time, the traditional Chinese dance exhibition "Dance in the East" was successfully held at the Eiffel Tower Theater in Paris, co hosted by the Paris Chinese Cultural Center and the Center for Cultural and Tourism Exchange between China and Foreign Countries, and organized by Zhejiang Vocational College of Arts. Nearly 500 people, including leaders of French cultural institutions, representatives of mainstream media, figures from the Sino French cultural and artistic circles, overseas Chinese residing in France, and local audiences, gathered at the scene to enjoy a timeless and long-lasting Eastern art feast. The whole performance presented twelve dance works, covering Chinese classical dance, folk dance and other styles, with both poetic beauty and emotional depth. From the gentle and graceful imagery of Jiangnan to the majestic and unrestrained grassland style; From the ethereal and tranquil Eastern philosophy to the fast-paced national style, dancers interpret the beauty of rhythm, form, and spirit of Chinese culture with exquisite skills and full emotions. The performance slowly kicked off in the Chinese classical women's group dance "Spring River in Front of the Stream", with the graceful dance movements of the dancers as if awakening the soft spring light of the Jiangnan water town; The following works, such as "Ink Solitary Crane," "Wind Chant," and "Soft Talk about Wu Nong," showcase the dancers' artistic insights into nature, culture, and philosophy through solo and duet dances. The Mongolian group dance "Grassland Men" pushed the atmosphere of the scene to a climax with a grand momentum. Works featuring multiple ethnic themes such as Korean, Dai, She, and Uyghur also complement each other on stage, presenting a magnificent picture of multicultural coexistence and integration on the land of China. Finally, the lively and joyful song "Dao Lang Mai Xilaifu" ignited applause from the entire audience, bringing a successful conclusion to the entire performance. The young dancers from Zhejiang Vocational College of Arts have won warm applause and widespread praise from the audience with their full enthusiasm, solid skills, and infectious performances. Some French viewers expressed that every program that night was like a poem or a painting, a highly aesthetic interpretation of Eastern culture. Dance not only allowed her to see the scenery and characters of China, but also felt a power and emotional resonance from within. Following numerous music brands such as "Melody of Spring", "Clear Breeze of Summer", "Moon Rhyme of Autumn", and "Snow Rhyme of Winter", the Paris Chinese Cultural Center has launched a new brand called "Dance Rhyme Oriental" using dance as a medium. The brand aims to "tell Chinese stories through body language" and continue to explore effective ways for Chinese culture to "go global". Through various forms such as theater performances, outdoor flash mobs, and interactive teaching, the diverse styles and profound heritage of Chinese dance art are presented in a three-dimensional manner, injecting new vitality into cultural exchanges between China and France. In the future, the Paris Center for Chinese Culture will continue to collaborate with Chinese and French art institutions and excellent universities to deepen exchanges and cultural exchange, allowing more audiences to appreciate the beauty of dance while better understanding the profound cultural heritage and contemporary value of Chinese culture.
