In recent days, Rongjiang County in Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, has been affected by continuous heavy rainfall and upstream inflow, resulting in some areas experiencing severe floods. On June 24th, the water level of rivers in Rongjiang County rapidly rose, and many low-lying areas in the county were flooded, making the situation extremely critical. The officers and soldiers of the stationed troops in Guizhou, as well as the militia, rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations upon hearing the order. At around 4am on the 24th, the Qiandongnan Branch of the Guizhou Armed Police Force dispatched 9 vehicles and more than 80 officers and soldiers, carrying rescue equipment such as life jackets, assault boats, and kayaks, to rush to the front line of flood prevention overnight. The Kaili Military Sub district in Guizhou Province organized more than 460 officers, soldiers, civilians, and militia, carrying 1790 pieces of equipment and supplies to urgently rescue Rongjiang County. Armed police officers and soldiers used hiking and kayaking to search and rescue trapped people in the main streets of Rongjiang County. Militia go deep into the front line of flood prevention, carry out tasks such as personnel evacuation, installation of flood control barriers, and reinforcement of flood control dams.
