The final of the 24th "Chinese Bridge" World University Chinese Competition in Senegal came to an end on the 12th at the Confucius Institute at the University of Dakar, where student Suleiman Diallo won the championship. This competition is divided into four segments: knowledge quiz, keynote speech, talent show, and free canvassing. In the keynote speech segment, the contestants interpreted the concept of "One Family Under Heaven" from multiple perspectives such as history, culture, and economy, based on their own experiences and with the theme of "One Family Under Heaven". In the talent exhibition segment, the contestants showcased their specialties such as calligraphy, recitation, songs, Peking Opera, and dance to the audience. In the end, contestant Huang Xiayao won the championship. The final of the 24th "Chinese Bridge" World University Chinese Competition in Gabon was held on the 10th at Omar Bongo University in the capital city of Libreville. Fang Li (Chinese name) from the Confucius Institute of the university won the championship. The Chinese Ambassador to Gabon, Zhou Ping, stated that the "Chinese Bridge" competition is a vivid portrayal of the dialogue between Chinese and Canadian civilizations, serving as a bridge for Canadian youth to understand and comprehend China, and to promote people to people exchanges between China and Canada. He hopes that Canadian young students will work hard to learn Chinese and strive to become ambassadors of friendship between China and Canada. Jean Fran ç ois Ouwaye, Vice President of Omar Bongo University in Gabon, said in his speech that China is an important force in the global South, and its development has also contributed to the construction of a global community with a shared future. Chinese language learning has effectively promoted friendly cooperation between Canada and China. The award ceremony for the final of the 2025 "Chinese Bridge" World Chinese Language Competition for Primary, Secondary, and Middle School Students in Yangon, Myanmar was held on the 10th. From June 7th to 8th, 10 people from each of the three groups of primary, secondary, and tertiary students participated in the final competition. In the end, Luo Jiajia, Qiu Jingjing, and Zheng Kaixu won the first prize in each group. Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ma Jia stated at the award ceremony that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Myanmar. For 75 years, China and Myanmar have always trusted each other and continuously deepened exchanges and cooperation in various fields. The cultural exchanges between China and Myanmar have always maintained heat and density. The "Chinese Bridge" Chinese competition has gone through a 14 year development process in Myanmar.
