The exhibition "Arabian Carpet - Interweaving of Islam and World Civilization" at the Palace Museum in Hong Kong was unveiled on the 16th. The exhibition will be open to the public from June 18th to October 6th. It is reported that this exhibition is jointly organized by the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Doha Islamic Art Museum, showcasing 90 precious cultural relics, including carpets, porcelain, metal crafts, painted manuscripts, and jade artifacts. The exhibits mainly come from the important collections of the Doha Islamic Art Museum, as well as from the collections of the Palace Museum and the Hong Kong Palace Museum of Culture. Kong Lingcheng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, stating that the museum is committed to promoting dialogue among different civilizations around the world. In the second half of this year, it will launch three special exhibitions, including the "Fantasy Carpet", aimed at showcasing world civilization and consolidating the museum's role as a cultural exchange platform. This exhibition is divided into four units, showcasing the artistic achievements of dynasties such as Safavid and Mughal, and tracing the cross-cultural exchanges between China and the Islamic world since the 10th century.
