It was learned from the Ministry of Public Security of China on the 16th that in 2024, the national public security organs will crack 294000 cases of telecom network fraud and capture a large number of illegal suspect. It is reported that the national public security organs have made a concerted effort to crack down on new types of illegal crimes in telecommunications networks, carried out special actions such as "card cutting", "flow cutting", "nail pulling" and "chain cutting", and severely cracked down on criminal gangs involved in fraud and gray industry that provide illegal services such as promotion and diversion, money laundering by transfer, technology development, and organization of illegal immigration for overseas fraud groups. In 2024, a total of 294000 cases of telecommunications network fraud were uncovered, and a large number of illegal suspect were arrested, including more than 570 "gold owners", leaders and backbones behind the fraud groups, which severely cracked down on the arrogance of the fraudsters. All regions and departments should closely cooperate and work together to strengthen comprehensive governance, plug regulatory loopholes, and make every effort to squeeze the space for fraudulent and illegal activities. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has solidly promoted the governance of telecommunications and Internet businesses, promoted enterprises to implement their anti fraud responsibilities, organized multiple law enforcement inspections, and pushed the anti fraud work to a new level. The People's Bank of China has normalized the "capital chain" governance, and formed a governance system of departmental linkage, industrial joint defense, and system networking. Since 2024, the National Anti Fraud Center has made every effort to promote early warning and technical countermeasures, issuing a total of 1.838 million fund warning instructions, intercepting 4.69 billion fraudulent phone calls and 3.37 billion text messages in conjunction with relevant departments, disposing of 11.81 million domain names and websites involved in cases, and urgently intercepting 315.1 billion yuan of funds involved. The public security organs in various regions have cumulatively met to dissuade 4.778 million people, forming a collective effort of joint management and prevention, effectively safeguarding the property safety and legitimate rights and interests of the people.
