The United Nations holds themed activities for the International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations

The President of the 79th United Nations General Assembly, Philemon Young, called in a video message for reaffirming the principles of the UN Charter, promoting tolerance, dialogue, and inclusiveness, and creating a better world for all. In June 2024, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution proposed by China to designate June 10th of each year as the International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations. The United Nations Office in Nairobi and the UNESCO headquarters in Paris have respectively held a series of activities to celebrate the International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations on June 5th. During the International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations, various themed events will also be held at United Nations locations such as Geneva, Switzerland, Vienna, Austria, Bangkok, Thailand, and The Hague, Netherlands.
