The total amount of social logistics in China reached 11.53 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%. Affected by the complex and severe international environment, external shocks intensified in April, and the total social logistics volume increased by 5.5% year-on-year. The China Logistics Information Center stated that in April, logistics operations withstood external pressure and demonstrated strong resilience and development potential, maintaining an overall stable and positive trend. The domestic industrial logistics and consumer logistics markets continue to play a fundamental supporting role, and the trend of integrating upstream and downstream resources in the supply chain has significantly increased. The basic structure of industrial logistics is stable. From a structural perspective, production and consumption demand effectively support the resilience of domestic logistics demand. The logistics demand for industrial products, units, and residential goods has maintained stable growth. From January to April, the total logistics volume of industrial products increased by 5.7% year-on-year; The total logistics volume of goods between units and residents increased by 5.9% year-on-year, an increase of 0.1 percentage points compared to the first quarter. Specifically, the basic structure of industrial logistics is stable, and industrial upgrading is accelerating. Data shows that in April, the total growth rate of industrial logistics remained stable, with most industries and product logistics demand maintaining growth. The growth rate of 41 major industries reached 87.8%. The logistics performance of the equipment manufacturing industry is impressive, with a growth rate of 9.8% for equipment manufacturing logistics, which accounts for nearly 40% of the industry. The transformation of traditional manufacturing supply chains towards the mid to high end of the value chain is driven by intelligence and digitization, and the supporting role of new driving forces is highlighted. In April, the logistics demand related to high-tech manufacturing increased by 10.0% year-on-year, continuing to exceed the growth rate of industrial logistics total. The potential of consumer logistics demand continues to be released, and there is a coordinated growth between online and offline channels. Data shows that in April, the retail sales of goods related to trade in programs such as smart homes, communication equipment, and building decoration increased consumption by 1.4 percentage points, driving the simultaneous release of logistics demand. The consumption vitality of online e-commerce is strong. From January to April, the online retail sales of physical goods increased by 5.8%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the first quarter, accounting for 24.3% of the total retail sales of consumer goods in society, an increase of 0.3 percentage points from the previous quarter. The e-commerce logistics index in China in April was 111.1 points, up 1.1 points from the previous month. In April, the policy of exchanging old for new consumer goods and other measures to expand domestic demand had a significant effect, coupled with the support of new formats such as short videos, live streaming sales, and instant retail, resulting in a steady increase in residents' demand for consumer logistics. ”The China Logistics Information Center stated. Price indices in multiple sub sectors rebounded in April, and logistics service prices remained stable and improved overall. The replenishment of inventory in the manufacturing industry and the recovery of productive consumption demand have driven the growth of demand for transportation, warehousing and other services. Price indices in multiple sub sectors have rebounded, and market supply and demand activity has increased. In terms of the maritime market, the supply of dry bulk and container transportation has rebounded, basically matching the growth of demand in the stage, and transportation prices have remained stable. Data shows that in April, the average comprehensive freight rate index for coastal (bulk) cargo was 1052.13 points, an increase of 0.1% compared to the previous month. In the field of road transportation, in April, the China Road Logistics Freight Index was 105 points, with a month on month increase of 0.23%. The supply and demand sides continued to improve, and freight rates continued to rise from low levels. In addition, key investigations have shown that the overall operation of logistics micro entities is stable, with some indicators showing a rebound in April. Data shows that from January to April, the cumulative business revenue of key surveyed logistics enterprises increased by 7.3% year-on-year, an increase of 1.3 percentage points compared to the first quarter. From January to April, the number of supply chain contract orders for key enterprises increased by 22% year-on-year, accelerating the transformation towards a value creation strategy and effectively enhancing the ability to cope with external uncertainties. On the one hand, changes in the international situation have led to a phased increase in demand for warehousing and transportation in some fields; On the other hand, logistics companies enhance their value by expanding integrated and diversified value-added services. ”The China Logistics Information Center stated. The China Logistics Information Center believes that from the later trend, logistics enterprises will still face complex and changing external environmental challenges, and the pressure for sustained and stable recovery will increase. With the continuous implementation of multiple stable growth policies such as "expanding domestic demand and promoting consumption", the transformation of manufacturing towards high-end and intelligent industries may accelerate, and logistics services also need to improve their supply capacity and efficiency simultaneously.
