The 945th Hospital conducts regular free clinics to support the construction of a 'Healthy China'

Recently, with the slight dew of dawn, the cultural square in Bifengxia Town, Yucheng District, Ya'an City has already been crowded with people. The 945th Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Force took advantage of the opportunity for people to go out for morning exercises in the early morning and dispatched 15 medical staff to set up portable medical desks, blood pressure monitors, and blood glucose meters in the square. Not long after, a winding queue formed at the health record registration office. This health clinic service activity lasted for over 5 hours and served more than 300 people in total. This is a microcosm of the hospital's commitment to carrying out the "three walks in" activities of entering communities, entering rural areas, and entering enterprises and institutions, and deeply promoting the Healthy China Action. In order to better serve the local residents, the 945th Hospital has innovatively implemented the "1+N" paired service model: that is, one expert is linked to multiple village clinics to improve the level of grassroots medical care through regular training and remote guidance. Nowadays, more than 200 rural doctors have received systematic training, and the first visit rate at the grassroots level has greatly improved. Hospital political commissar Lai Chun said, "Free clinics are not just a 'gust of wind', but a long-term mechanism should be formed." By establishing a closed-loop management system of "demand list service list responsibility list", the frequency of free clinics has been adjusted from quarterly to once a week, and the service scope has expanded from communities to enterprises, schools, and nursing homes. Over the past three years, the medical team of the 945th Hospital has traveled to 87 towns and villages in the western Sichuan Plateau, covering a total distance of more than 200000 kilometers and providing medical treatment to over 160000 people. They are affectionately known as the "guardians" of life and health in the mountains. (New Society)
