Recently, under the guidance of the Economic Investigation Team of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Haidian police have continued to crack down on criminal gangs that help with overseas credit card fraud, telecommunications network fraud, and money laundering. They have organized 13 waves of police forces to travel to multiple parts of the country and successfully arrested multiple money laundering gang organizers and individuals involved in money laundering. At present, the case is under further investigation. According to the introduction, "cheating" refers to the act of illegal individuals recruiting members of society or enticing merchants to provide payment codes, bank accounts, etc., to illegally transfer stolen funds to criminal gangs such as overseas credit card fraud and telecommunications network fraud. This type of crime not only disrupts financial order, but also makes some small and medium-sized business owners and individual industrial and commercial households become accomplices to money laundering crimes without knowledge. During the investigation of the case, the Haidian police found that criminal gangs were conducting money laundering activities in multiple places by instigating and luring small and medium-sized business owners and individual industrial and commercial households to provide payment codes. After further investigation and evidence collection, the police have identified the organizational structure, personnel division, and modus operandi of the criminal gang. The investigating police officer introduced that during the process of committing crimes, the fraudsters used overseas social media platforms to post information and recruit money laundering gangs. After receiving the order, the domestic "running point" money laundering gang contacts professional "running point" money laundering personnel and promises to obtain the payment codes of small business owners and individual industrial and commercial households by providing certain rewards. Subsequently, the fraudulent organization sent the payment codes of these merchants to the victims of electronic fraud, inducing them to scan the codes and transfer money. Some merchants became accomplices of the fraudsters without knowing that the funds were illegally obtained. The police remind that when someone borrows a payment code under the pretext of "working capital" and promises to give rewards, it is likely to be an illegal criminal activity of helping telecom fraud organizations "run points" to launder money. Do not seek small profits by lending your personal information such as ID cards, personal accounts, bank cards, payment QR codes, etc. (New Society)
