Chongqing simplifies the enrollment process with digital education

Recently, it was learned from the Chongqing Digital Education Construction Work Conference that the "One Thing" application scenario for Chongqing education enrollment, as a typical case in China, has served a total of 575000 student families, with a satisfaction rate of 99.21%. This reform takes cross sectoral data sharing and process reengineering as a breakthrough, opens up 10 systems in 9 departments, including public security, social security, and civil affairs, and realizes automatic verification of 13 types of data, including registered residence, real estate, and school registration. Parents can complete registration through the "Chongqing Kuaibao" APP, and completely say goodbye to the enrollment problem of "multi head running and complicated materials". This achievement is a microcosm of Chongqing's deepening of digital education reform. In recent years, Chongqing has built a three-level digital governance network covering "city district school", promoting the leap of education services from "manageable" to "easy to manage". The cumulative visit volume of Chongqing's smart education platform has exceeded 470 million, and the coverage rate of multimedia classrooms and broadband network access in urban and rural schools has reached 100%, laying a technological foundation for educational equity. The deepening of reform is not only reflected in the service side, but also extends to the governance side. Chongqing relies on the Digital Chongqing Three Level Governance Center to build an education intelligent governance cockpit, dynamically monitoring key indicators such as enrollment demand and degree supply, and early warning of resource allocation gaps. During the autumn enrollment period of 2024, the system automatically matched degrees and adjusted degrees across regions, resolving enrollment conflicts in multiple hot spots. The synchronous launch of off campus training institution supervision applications achieves full process transparency supervision through data closed-loop management, and parents can query institution qualifications, course registration, and other information in real time. It is reported that in the future, Chongqing will accelerate the integration of "artificial intelligence+education". According to the Action Plan for Empowering Digital Education, it is planned to build multiple "AI+Education" characteristic schools by 2027, develop applications such as intelligent diagnosis and personalized learning recommendations, and explore new data-driven models for teaching students according to their aptitude.
